Daredevil is dying. Typhoid Mary and her hired goons have beaten the hero to near-death, and only Karen can save him. If Matt remains missing a minute too late, Hell’s Kitchen will lose its defender. The Human Torch joins the search for Daredevil!

Johnny Storm, Karen Page and the young Butch invade a local watering hole in an attempt to learn where Daredevil is. Ridiculed for his 'tough' costume and reliance on powers, Storm challenges a hulking barfly to a fistfight. He defeats the man without using powers and is attacked by the other patrons. He ignites in self defense. The bar burns down and everyone safely flees.
